Jaipur is a city that is loved all over the world. Many
people from different countries frequently visit Jaipur to enrich their
cultural understanding of the country. Some monuments of the city are quite
famous worldwide like Amber fort, Jaigadh Fort etc. The city also houses
several wonderful places that are very less known. Let us know about places of
the Jaipur least visited and hardly known to the tourists:
Sisodia Rani ka Bagh
The Rajput rulers were romantic and chivalrous. In the
battles their sword leaped like a cobra and devoured the enemies. Their tender
feelings towards the queens could even melt the rocks. That chivalry and
romance are a part of history but one can still see the timeless evidence of
that pure love.
One such evidence is Sisodia rani Garden. The garden was
built by Mahraja Jai Singh for her lovely queen Rani Sisodia Jai Singh whom he
loved from the depths of his heart. It is situated on Jaipur-Agra Highway. The
beautiful garden naturally attracted the queen and soon became her preferred
getaway. Along with the queen, many other royal ladies also used to visit the
garden. The entry of men was prohibited to make sure that royal ladies should
have unrestricted fun.
This symbol of pure love aptly houses various artistic
depictions of Lord Krishna and Radha who are considered as eternal lovers. The
garden is further beautified with galleries, pavilions and designer fountains.
One can still feel the love in the air while visiting the garden.
Central Park
Central park is one of the largest parks in Jaipur. It is
famous for well managed structure and ever-widening greenery. The park is one
of the most favorite parks of joggers and it is not rare to spot some of the most
influential figures of Jaipur from the field of politics, arts and business
here. The park also houses two most famous sport establishments of the city:
Rambagh Polo Ground and Rambagh Golf Club.
The park also houses many trees and plants famous for their
fruits, flowers and medicinal use. Right from beautiful flower plants to sky
piercing grand old trees, your eye will never be short of green sight. The
trees are beautifully populated by the birds of different colors. Apart from
common birds like sparrow and pigeon one can also find lots of rare species
too. A big national flag in the middle
of the park having 206 feet long mast effortlessly attracts the attention.
There is no other flag taller than this in the entire country.
Abhaneri Step Well
Step wells were highly popular in ancient India. They served
as water reservoirs in the rainy season and in summers these step wells were
used as summer retreat. Abhaneri is one such place located just near the city.
The region is famous for its step wells. One can see a large number of step
wells here that instantly takes to the royal era of Rajputs.
The region is far from the modernization and you won't find
nagging tour guides, noisy tourists or hawking shopkeepers here. It is a great
place to enjoy the serenity and experience the royal past of the region.
Raj Mandir
There was one time when cinema halls were the most visited places
for enjoying some precious hours with the family and friends. Times changed and
many multiplexes came into existence. These multiplexes have everything an
audience can ask for but they lack the luxury and grandeur of old cinema halls.
Raj Mandir is one such cinema hall that refuses to join its
old companions that have limited their mention to the books of history. Till
today the cinema hall is visited by many tourists and it is perhaps the only
cinema hall where people do not come to watch movies but to watch the cinema
hall. It was built in 1979 and has a capacity of 1300 people.
The cinema hall is beautifully designed to reflect the
traditions of Jaipur in an appealing way. Well embellished ceiling of the
cinema hall seems to be inspired by palaces. It is rightly called the king of
Indian cinema halls. One can have mouth watering Rajasthani cuisines inside the
cinema hall sold by various cafeterias.
Jaipur is the city that has always been a delight for the
tourists’ eyes. Some visiting places of Jaipur are very famous like Amber fort,
Jaigadh and City Palace. There are many less known yet highly interesting
places in Jaipur. So an ideal Jaipur Tour Package should
also include these lesser known beauties of Jaipur to offer the most rewarding
experience.
