Make Your Shimla Honeymoon All the More Pleasant By Adding These Places

A marriage brings many things along with itself, especially if it is an Indian marriage; there is a large series of rituals, formalities and traditions involved in the whole process. All this is counted as the beauty of Indian tradition. However, the same is not true for the main protagonists of the whole show: bride and bridegroom. They are already a bit jittery; a kind of natural feeling that comes before starting relations that means a lifelong commitment. Add to that this long, non-ending series of various formalities and traditions and they end up gasping for the fresh breath. So at the end when the things are over and the new life begins, they want to spend some exclusive moments with their life partner. Honeymoon serves the cause here.

Vashisht Village

This village is situated at a 4-5 KM distance from Manali and seems to retain much of the innocence that is associated with villages. You won’t find the usual commercial interests we generally encounter in the villages thronged by tourists. In fact, it is not that kind of village. It is a village with ancient, hoary history that date backs to the times of Ramayana. Apart from the natural scenery and good natured people another thing to enjoy over here are the springs and Turkish style hot bath houses that gives you that unique medieval period feeling. Apart from the hot spring baths you can also visit the stone temples belonging to the sage Vashishtha, a legendary sagacious figure from the period of Ramayana.

Basheshwar Mahadev Temple

Just 15 KM away from Kullu. Basheshwar Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Lord of Renunciation and Devotion. This 9th century temple is one of the best examples of superb architectural skills of the artisans of that era. The stone carvings are worth appreciating. The temple is also home the small idols of other forms of Hindu God: Lord Ganesha, Vishnu, Laxmi and Durga.

Akhara Bazaar

This marketplace should be saved for the last day of your stay. In fact here you can buy a whole lot of saviors to remember your beautiful honeymoon stay back home. Here you can find a wide array of regional shops owned by the locals that sell items like rugs, shawls and Kullu caps. However as a tourist you should buy the items with regional identity like Puhlas, gudmas and Pattoos. The Akhara Bazaar is one of the most famous bazaars of Kullu and can get crowded at times. So it is best to visit it during the odd hours like early in the morning when the crowd id relatively less.
